Advent Resources
This Advent season at Grand River Community Church, we’ll journey through the story of Jesus’ coming as told in Matthew 1–2. Each week, we’ll discover how God fulfilled His ancient promises through the birth of His Son—the long-awaited King who brings salvation and God’s presence to earth. From the genealogy that reveals God’s faithfulness through generations, to the angel’s message of Immanuel, to the worship of the Magi and the flight to Egypt, we’ll see how every part of the story points to the one truth: Jesus is the promised Savior, God with us.
Devotional
Dive deeper into our Advent series with the Long Expected Jesus Devotional and Study Guide—an interactive resource designed to help you reflect on the story of Jesus’ birth throughout the week. Each section includes Scripture readings from Matthew 1–2, devotional reflections, discussion questions, and family-friendly activities that bring the message of Advent to life. Whether you’re studying alone, with your family, or in a group, this guide will help you experience the hope, faith, joy, and peace that come with the arrival of our long-expected King. You can purchase the full paperback or kindle version on Amazon or download the daily devotional below.
Coloring Pages
Advent provides a special opportunity to build family traditions around the true meaning of Christmas and teach your kids and grandkids that it's not about the presents but about Jesus' presence with us! The devotional is written with this in mind and we've also provided coloring and activity pages to go along with each week.
